WATER CUTTING

Water cutting consists in using high pressure water jets to produce clean, precise cuts of pliable or porous materials or thin plastics.

Unlike punch or die cutting, water cutting won’t stress or distort the material being cut. It produces perpendicular cuts without the rounding effect that often results from die cutting.

And unlike heat-based methods such as lasers, water cutting won’t affect the material properties or generate smoke or harmful gases.

Typical materials that can be cut with water jets:

  • Thin plastics
  • Rubber, silicone
  • Foam or ethafoam
  • Sponges
  • Gasket materials
  • And many other materials

Fact sheet:

  • Work space: 72” x 144” (1828 mm x 3657 mm)
  • Maximum thickness: up to 6” (152 mm) depending on the material
  • Programmable controller
  • Optimal use of the material

Please send us the design to cut.
