| ABRASIVE WATER CUTTINGBy adding a fine abrasive to high pressure water jets, we can cut higher-density materials such as composites. This process is often used for cutting composite metals and materials. Abrasive water cutting won’t alter the material properties from heat. Even carbon-based steels, titanium, manganese and heat-sensitive materials remain intact. Having recently reengineered our abrasive water cutting process from A to Z, we can now offer our clients the following improvements:
- Appreciable price reduction
- Thicker material cuts
- Better cutting precision
- Perpendicular cutting control
- No more delamination or break-up problems
The list of materials that we can cut is virtually endless:
- Aluminium
- Steel, stainless steel
- Copper, brass
- Cast iron, titanium, manganese, scandia, tool steel
- Special alloys
- Marble, glass, granite, stone, ceramic
- Plastic, UHMW, ABS, Meldin, Delrin
- Phenolic compounds, fibreglass, composites
- Kevlar
Fact sheet:
- Work space: 72” x 144” (1828 mm x 3657 mm)
- Maximum thickness: up to 6” (152 mm) depending on the material
- Programmable controller
- Optimal use of the material
